God Recycles

I wrestle with words as my furry friend lies on my chest. Rusty wants a walk, rather expects one and is waiting. As my precious daughter’s finger picking her guitar and softly singing a beautiful melody this gives way to a peaceful silence, and then she plays again. My daughter’s been gifted more than she can know. It’s not that she just sings and plays well. It is that as she sings the sweet Holy Spirit comes and ministers to me.

It’s as when David played before Saul and the demons left but for a while. I have no demons per say.  (And Jesus doesn't share space with demons; CHISTIANS cannot be demon possessed, just oppressed). Demons can be like pesky mosquitoes or fleas on a dog. They are a nuisance! Sometimes condemnation tries to creep it ugly head into my thoughts. Yes, I know there is NO condemnation in Christ (Romans 8) and I know I have to take these thoughts captive, like all rogue thoughts.  And, I do or at least most the time.

Interruptions plagues the work God has set before us, but the funny thing is, God recycles. I mean He uses the things Satan meant to harm us and God brings forth a rose, something sweet and pleasing. Our Father takes the evils of this world to produce the loving saints of God, His children. Joseph recognized this well in Genesis 45. “What you meant for evil, God meant for good” (my condensed paraphrase). Joseph recognized it was God that sent him into that debacle of rejection, slavery, and prison. His attitude could have been in anger to God, but it wasn't.

God preserved Joseph, but more that, through him and his with willingness to go through all this hard stuff, God used Joseph to birth the nation of Israel. Israel came with his small clan to Egypt to avoid famine and left a few million strong with Egypt’s wealth and God’s guiding hand.

I heard a radio preacher telling a story of a lady who only brought God her big problems. The preacher replied to her, “Madam all your problems are small ones to God.”  There is nothing too big or too little to bring to our Lord. Bring it all!
