How to Know Jesus

HOW TO KNOW JESUS

I know just jabbering on about life is uninteresting and dull. However, while I use these thoughts, prayers, and some poetry to cope with life, I don’t want anyone to miss my hope. It is Jesus.

Yes, He is real. And, you can know Him as I do. Relationships are really the point of life-perhaps you disagree-but when you die, what else was there? Our possessions fade in meaning; we came into this world naked, and to the grave naked we will return. Yes, we may be dressed in our best threads ever. But, our soul is bare and it lives on.

And, after this life we meet our maker the Creator, our God. Hopefully He is yours’ too. To know Him is simple. It comes by faith in Him, believing that He died for your sins. If you don’t think you have any sins, think about the 10 commandments. If you have broken any of these even once, you’re a sinner qualified for the grace of God. As a friend reminds me, I should give you the full disclosure. Some think when you come to Christ everything will just get easier, and some even say if you do it right, health, wealth, and prosperity are yours. Well, it can get harder in life after believing in Jesus. Because He wants all your life lived in service to Him. He wants us to pick up our cross and follow Him. And know this; all who live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

Yet, knowing the source of all life is life. Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life. Something no other man could do. How could He do this? He was the God man, the Theanthopos. He was one person and two natures. He was totally human and totally God. At least 44 times event surrounding His life was predicted from several hundred to even thousands of years ahead of time by prophets. These predictions were all fulfilled in Jesus at the culmination of time. Jesus' virgin birth (including the place) and the slaughter of children afterwards were all predicted and fulfilled.

Even Christ’s' entrance intoJerusalem on colt (proclaiming Him as King) listed in Mark 11:7--- came to pass being predicted hundreds of years earlier by Zechariah (Zec 9:9).
Time is too short to list all of the prophetic events surrounding His life here. But, here are few. His betrayal by a friend was predicted, and yes the crucifixion itself was predicted and came to pass. We all know Jesus died a cruel death (from history books). Yet, what make Christianity real is that Jesus rose again, three days later.

Christians accept and know these facts, but why? Over 500 people saw Him raised (1 Cor 15:6).
And think of this, Jesus had 12 best friends. One, Judas betrayed Him. Ten of the other 12 died proclaiming Jesus as LORD. The other one John, after be boiled in oil and surviving, still would not recant the story of Jesus. When ascending into the clouds, Jesus asked the disciples to wait in Jerusalem. In an upper room the promised Holy Spirit came into the believers to empower them for service.

So to know Him, you have to believe He exist and ask him to exchange your sinful heart, for His heart. If you BELIEVE THIS, YOU ARE BORN AGAIN. And, please realize, it's only by grace you are saved (born again).
